Jobina (Jo) Trimmer
Director of Inspection
Jo leads all aspects of S.A. Comunale Co., Inc.’s inspection department. She is responsible for training administration, hiring, and overall team development.
As part of her responsibility for day-to-day department oversight, Jo travels to all corporate locations for hands-on strategizing and coaching.
The company’s Regional Inspection Managers, who work with a team of more than 48 inspectors report directly to Jo. She also leads our team of inspection sales representatives throughout all our offices, training them on life safety systems and sales tactics.
Her breadth of industry experience equips her to also review all large sales bids and fine-tune competitive bid pricing.
Additionally, Jo contributes to the company’s website design, and collaborates with our Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of Service and Inspection on strategic planning initiatives and business development ideas.
In the fire protection business for more than 20 years, Jo entered the industry as an administrative assistant. While serving in an administrative role, she enrolled in college to advance her career.
While attending college, she moved to inside sales, selling a full range of system repairs. This expanded her industry knowledge and propelled her into outside sales.
When Jo completed her college education in 2012, she was promoted into operations management and continues to lead successful teams.
Jo holds a Master of Science degree in leadership and business ethics from Duquesne University. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business communication from Carlow University.
She is a certified Portable Fire Extinguisher Technician in both Ohio and West Virginia; a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt; and a certified Smith System Driver Trainer.
The Personal Side
Jo enjoys spending time with her husband and pets. She also enjoys her winter pastime of making candles and reading. During better weather, she enjoys boating, fishing, traveling, and horseback riding.
